So, it was only fitting that the Estee Lauder model (who's 44) hosted Bazaar’s book party on Thursday night at the magazine's offices.

The magazine celebrated its book launch "Fabulous at Every Age," (Hearst, $24.95) and honored five women representing each decade—from 20s to 60s.

The winners of the nationwide contest were: Nicole Otero, wearing the blue skirt, above, of New York City (20s), Trinette Faint, in the yellow dress, of Boston (30s), Kariza Chan, in the red suit, of New York City (40s), Valerie Duva, wearing the pink skirt, of Michigan (50s) and Mary Lou Stockwell, in the black and white top, of Newport Beach, CA (60s).

Glenda Bailey, editor in chief of Bazaar, talked about the importance of the event and the women honored. "What's so great now, we live in a time when you look at women and you can't tell someone's real age," she said. "You just think 'oh, they look great.' They could be 30 or 50. Isn't that so liberating?"

Bailey said it was hard to narrow down the winners. "When I saw the people who entered the competition, I thought 'wow, the Harper's Bazaar readers are really gorgeous.' They are so stylish and they clearly have great spirit. It's cliche to say, but they're as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside."

Hurley, who I met at the event and today decided to renew my gym membership (no joke, she looks that amazing), stressed the importance of taking care of oneself as you age.

"In your 20s, you can let your hair grow out a little and it matters less. But as you get older, you have to start look after yourself better," said the model and mother of a 7-year-old son. "I really believe passionately that women can look fabulous whatever age they are. I mean I have to say that because I'm getting older. If it was just for the girls in their 20s, it would be sad. I love seeing older women looking fantastic."

And about that book written by Nandini D'Souza, I love it. It's chock full of interesting tips on how to look your best at every age, celebrity style tips and cool features such as how to shop your own closet.

Tell me, what's your secret to looking fabulous?
