A Throwback Boot to Love
Kenneth Cole introduces a unisex rain boot with spunk.
These boots take me back.
Not to 1953 with Marlon Brando in "The Wild One."
And not back to the 1930's when the first versions were designed to protect motorcycling soldiers "motor boots," or depending on whom you ask, "engineer boot" for outdoor workers.
But rather, back to the 1980s, when I was young enough to feel that donning a tough shoe only added to my femininity.
Nowadays, I feel as though when I'm not strapped into strappy heels, I might as well be the plummer for all my appeal.
So I've just got to love Kenneth Cole's new, limited-edition Electric Rain. The unisex rubber shoe has inverted pleating for calves of various size, a grosgrain pull on tab, a 1 1/2-inch heel and plenty of attitude.

They cost $98 and can be had online and in some Kenneth Cole stores in time for the holidays.
What's more, the consciousness-raising designer is giving 100 percent of net profits to The Awareness Fund, which supports acts of service, volunteerism and social change.
