The Olsen Twins' New Line

You may have written off the Olsen twins as a pair of goofy-looking gals who dress like bag ladies.

Or just another celebrity-wanna-be designer line.

Think again. Sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who were just inducted into the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers, proved their fashion strength with their two lines, Elizabeth and James and The Row (both retail in stores like Barneys and Bloomingdale's).

Now, they're aiming to reach the masses with a juniors brand sold exclusively at JCPenney starting Nov. 6.

Inspired by teen trends from around the world, Olsenboye features fun and casual styles spanning denim, tops, dresses, jackets, handbags and shoes—all retailing from $20 to $50.

"Mary-Kate and I watch current trends and see our partnership with JCPenney as an opportunity to add something unique to the marketplace, especially in the current retail climate," said Ashley Olsen, in a prepared release, adding that it delivers "trend-based fashion at affordable prices."

Adults shop teen brands all the time (just look at Forever 21), so you may find something from this line or it may be better-suited to your teen daughter, relative, friend's daughter, etc. If it's the latter and you have some holiday shopping to do, you might want to jot down Nov. 6 on your calendar.

Judging by the anticipation of this launch, the collection might sell out fast—especially at these prices.
