Easy Root Touch Up
Cover grays with this spray-on powder. The best part? No messy dying necessary.
The annoyance of gray hair.
You just get your hair colored, and it seems only days later, the grays are already showing. Can't someone make a pill to reverse gray hair back to its original, pre-gray color? Very unlikely.
And the darker the hair, the more noticeable the gray—sometimes making it look like you're balding from a distance.
For obvious reasons, I'm rather obsessed with covering any signs of gray hair. Not wanting to get color done every two weeks (I have met women who do this), I am committed to the every-four-weeks routine. But I have to tell you, by week three, I'm really counting the days.
Then, a stylist turned me onto this cool, spray-on hair powder from Bumble and Bumble. You just spray it over your roots, brush it through and the grays are gone. It also washes out, so you're not dying your hair—just temporarily covering the gray. The finish is a little off-putting, it feels kind of rough, sort of like sticky hairspray. Guess you can't have everything.
The Hair Powder comes in four shades: blondish, red, brown and black. A 4-oz. bottle is $35.
