Blow-dry hair with a large vent brush, pulling hair up and back as you go along. Don't worry about hair getting too big, fine hair will fall as you style it so the more volume at the root the better.
Make a deep side part so most of the volume is to one side of the part.
Roll one-inch sections of hair halfway with small Velcro rollers and spray with hairspray so you get a slight bounce to just your ends.
