I'm sixteen, and i liked these dresses; most of my friends would too. Im not so sure there is such a thing as being "too sophisticated". That's like saying,"oh, she is wayyy too tasteful for me". Literary synonyms for "sophisticated" are stylish, classy, chic, and urbane. Maybe some of you are thinking the dresses are for the wrong age group.Thinking

We just looked at the top 10, and my daughter said the only one that would come close was the light pink, but only in a different color. Girls just want to have fun, but these dresses are sending the wrong message.

I'm the mother of an 18year old, getting ready to graduate and enjoy the world. These dresses are too old for most, and too tacky for others. I would be embarressed to see my daughter in these gowns. Bright colors are fun, but the cut should be tasteful and not show up the girl.  My daughter EEEEWWW's all these dresses.

okay,,

the first few dresses were okay...

i did like the animal print & well pretty much the first seven

(with a few exceptions)

but these others are right

my sister and i both have very unique styles

we're always the ones with the "wow, where did she get that"

we like to show that weird... is cool

but these gowns...

are even too drastic for us

and THATS saying something

Thumbs down

These dresses look like the ones worn by the ladies on The Golden Girls - they are definitely made for those over 50 looking to have some fun at the senior center!  Oh my, what a thoroughly unattractive set of dresses for teenagers.

I had my prom last year. Most of us didn't wear dresses like these. Flowerly prints and animal prints just ewwww... they're pretty but not for prom. Our dresses were more on the side of gowns that looked sophisticated. Of course there were a few shorter dresses but nothing ridiculous like the ones on here. Feathers and poufy tulle? I think the only my classmates might worn maybe that red lowback one or the black slit one, other than that, horrible picks.

The designer's really dislike young women. The gowns are not only distasteful the are too sophisticated for the age group. This is prom, not the red carpet!

My daughter thinks they are just awful and I agree.

Actually, I'm 16 years old and I kind of like most of the dresses on here.  Of course, not all of them are my type but I would definitely consider wearing some of them.  Out of them all, I really don't like the animal prints, but I have never really liked animal print clothes.  My high school prom is today.  If I were to pick a dress, I would probably want the red low-back one.  I've always wanted a red dress and I will eventually get one.  Otherwise, I would like almost all of the other dresses, albeit with a couple of things missing to make it more perfect.

I think you must have confused prom in the 80's with prom now. These dresses are not the ones that girls will be wearing to a high school prom (except for the tulle one). These are the most ridiculous ugly dresses I've ever seen. Good job guys you really missed the mark on that one.
