Great idea! I really enjoyed this web site today. Even love the extra ideas that people added to it. I lived in America my whole life. Now I live on an island where we have to reuse,& recycle. I posted this site on my Face book to share with all my friends. Thanks for taking the time to touch other peoples lives. If a single mom saved a few dollars it might mean and extra meal at the table. This cutting back money is what I had to do to raise my boys. Now I'll have to do it to save money to spend on my grandchild.

Some of these ideas are some my parents used when I was a yougster.  My dad lost his job back in the early eighties and we lived dirt poor but still amazingly had a roof over our heads.  Now that I see these things I think back to how great it was when this happened and how it brought family together to work as a unit.  I learned some of these ways and use them myself to this day not only to save money but for gratification that it can make a difference.  Some people post such negative crap on here and do not realize that they are not in touch with reality and how words can actually hurt people emotionally when the article was for ideas and tips to save...I'd have to say, if someone is learning this stuff in college then there may be a bright future after all because not many kids these days would even think or lower themselves to save.  Mad props to those practicing positive reinforcement and the ideas in print.

Oh  for you ketchup bottle nay-sayers ******

Try this;    mix batter extra thin (about 1/8th to 1/4 inch after cooked ) for a great pan cake.

Brown each side and shazam great tasting pancakes that are "lower" on calories

and taste great.  Put hot syrup on top of the butter and jam to melt it in and wow

great breakfast with bacon and hot coffee.

Yes this is from yester-year, in the 50's.  Made the mix go further and saved money

but look what a good breakfast.

This is for everyone except for the grumpy stinkers

who focus on negative thingsSmile

socalfamily  brings up whole new conversation !  My parents were raised through the depression and they saved "everything" and it rubbed off.  The other side of the coin

my wife throws "everything" away.  Says its hording and likes everything CLEAN , get rid

of it - typical American thinking I guess.  Dang

Why is it that people can always find a way to turn something, that doesn't even effect them directly, into a negative? Does it have any bearing on your life whether you do or don't try some of these suggestions? Apparently your life is just that pathetic that you feel the need to bring others down with you. Next time you want to complain about something go look in the mirror. At least while there you may find someone who cares.

Stick the ketchup bottle in the dishwasher, clean the Twister mat before using it for a tablecloth and get a cheap toothbrush to clean the silks off the corn.....it's not rocket science folks, just some cute ideas. Use them if you like or don't, it's your choice!

Kaleyscatclaws....there is no need for all that nastiness....go take a nap!!!

I use the grocery bags for my trash bags or I fill them w/ air and tie them to make packing cushions for boxes - saves space and cuts on postage.
