To remove fruit stains, place the item over a strainer and pour boiling water on the stain. Let it cool, then launder. May have to be repeated but works like magicOpen-mouthed

For drain flies, buy a gallon of bleach and pour it's whole contents into your basement drains at least once a week.  Keeps out the flies / insects and gets rid of the drain odor.  I do this weekly and once a month I include the sinks and tub drains.  I haven't had a problems with drain flies / insects  for years doing this simple task.

I know this is gross; but it works!!!!  The best quick fix for blood and most food stains is spit.  For blood it works best if the spit comes from the person who bled.  Spit is filled with enzymes which most companies are trying to replicate.  After all our spit is designed to break down food!!!  It is an awesome quick fix because you always have it with you and you don't even have to package it or pay for it!!!!  It may be gross but it really works!!!!

I use lestoil on everything.. I pour a little lestoil directly on the stain (oil, blood, dirt, or anything) let it sit for about 5 to 10 mins. They I use a little scrub brush to rub it in with a  little water and throw it in the washer....

I had that problem last year.  And I put a small glass with sweet wine or sweet vinegar and cover with clear wrap.  Poke a few holes on the top and just put near where the problem is.  They fly in but cant get out it works like a charm.

Dishwashing soap works on almost everything as a pre-treat.  Especially food and oily stains.
